Azhdarcho Lord

Seyhrain Aerotitan. Planar animal lord [he/him] N ‡
Character: The Azhdarcho Lord embodies the tyranny of altitude—the far-sighted conviction that whoever commands the sky commands all beneath it. Nothing happens on the ground without him knowing about it. True sovereignty requires neither territory, consent, nor subjects, only the ability to strike from above with impunity. His philosophy is built on his bitter nostalgia for vanished supremacy: he remembers when pterosaurs ruled unchallenged, when no feathered upstart dared claim the title “Sky Lord”. However, he chooses to interpret his exile to Pangaea not as defeat but as strategic retreat—a temporary withdrawal until the cosmos recognises its error and restores him to his rightful throne above the Beastlands.
Description: He appears as a colossal azhdarchid pterosaur, with a wingspan wider than most buildings, his long neck extending a narrow skull equipped with a vicious spear-beak designed for snatching prey mid-flight, his body covered in fine pycnofibres that shimmer like storm clouds. His singular aim is to inspire awe, and prove that avian lords are mere evolutionary pretenders by hunting with such precision and grace that even the powers must acknowledge pterosaurs as the perfected masters of aerial dominion. Secretly though, he hopes to find prey clever enough to justify his self-proclaimed greatness.
Realm: Pangaea / The Sky Table. The Azhdarcho Lord maintains no fixed territory but instead commands the Sky-Table—a wandering domain of thermals, gust-walls, and invisible atmospheric cliffs that exists wherever he and his flock patrol. His presence creates an unseen zone where physics tilts in his favour and ground-dwellers experience vertigo simply from looking upward. From the ground, his realm looks like a cloud-reef. Anything that leaps or flies within the Sky Table moves at double its usual speed—and at twice the risk—perfect for his ambush tactics but deadly for challengers. Anything that falls plummets faster than natural law should allow, as if gravity itself bends to emphasise the Azhdarcho Lord’s dominance over the spaces between earth and cloud. In the skies, he is never alone, always accompanied by his flock of lesser pterosaurs who serve as eyes, beaters, and living proof that his kind deserves continued existence. Rumours suggest though that the rising Pangaean dragon population may soon contest even this last aerial sanctuary.
