Temperance Hall

Headquarters of the Temperant Order, also known as the Pure-Water Army.

Location: Mount Celestia / Lunia

Character: Endure the suffering of the flesh, for it will strengthen the spirit. Look to those who have gone before for examples, but do not ask for aid. They did not seek help nor will they help you. If life in Temperance is too difficult for you, then leave and stop interfering in other’s life lessons.

Temperance Hall is a temple to moderation and abstinence, where petitioners can rest for as long as it takes for their worldly desires to become muted.

The Temperant, or the followers of the Pure Water Army, have a headquarters known as the Temperance Hall. It’s more than just a building; it’s a sanctum, a place of reflection, and a hub of teachings that embody their philosophy of abstinence and moderation.

Temperance Hall is a place of serenity, nestled amidst the craggy peaks of Lunia amidst the rugged beauty of nature.  The architecture, while simple, carries an air of grace and purpose, like the philosophy it represents.

Inside the hall, the décor is spartan and minimalist, with calming hues and natural materials that evoke a sense of grounding. Soft, filtered light streams through the windows, casting a gentle glow that feels both peaceful and inviting. The atmosphere is one of hushed reverence, where each sound carries a weight of significance.

The main chamber holds a central pool, symbolizing the purity and clarity the Temperant seek to attain. Followers come here for meditation, self-reflection, and discussions on the path of abstinence and moderation. Along the walls, tapestries or murals depict scenes of balance in nature – the ebb and flow of tides, the harmony of a forest, the coexistence of creatures in perfect equilibrium.

Adornments within the Temperance Hall are purposeful, chosen with care to reflect the philosophy. Bowls of fresh fruit and simple refreshments, emphasizing nourishment without excess. Scrolls and books containing teachings, stories, and wise words line the shelves. Clothing is simple and functional.

The Symbol of the Temperant Sect

But remember, while the hall embodies the ideals of abstinence and moderation, it’s not a place devoid of life or joy. Laughter, conversations, and shared moments of camaraderie echo within its walls, a reminder that even within discipline, there’s room for connection and celebration of life’s simple pleasures.

So, there you have it, cutter. The Temperance Hall stands as a tranquil oasis, a sanctuary where followers of the Pure Water Army gather to deepen their understanding of the philosophy, to find solace in the midst of life’s currents, and to strengthen their resolve to walk the path of abstinence and moderation.
