Damh
The Stag Uncrowned, the Horned Beast. CN Lesser power of song and dance, satyrs and korred [He/Him]
Pantheon: Sylvan
Symbol: Flute, pipes and a drum
Realm: Wandering
Eldest son of Titania by her consort Oberon, Damh (pronounced DAV) is ancient and wild, one of the first fey to share the druidic arts with mortals. The patron of satyrs and korreds, Damh chose to lead them in order to lessen his mother’s burdens of rule; his favoured appearance is that of a wild korred with a magical laugh. Damh obfuscates his wisdom and age with ribald antics, and he is known as the Stag Uncrowned for his wanton excesses—“a stag in full rut.”
He chases dryads and nymphs, loves bawdy jokes, is deeply fond of music, and never delays any form of gratification. Small wonder that few recognise him for what he is—a wizened god of the living earth. Damh has no fixed realm of his own in the Feywild, his spirit is far too free to be tied down like that. He spends a lot of time frolicking with the Seelie Court, as they meander across the planes. When he’s not with the Court, he pops up all across the multiverse. The god often wanders the Beastlands, Arborea, and Ysgard, or the Prime. Anywhere with a stone circle is fair game, Damh seems to be able to wander between them at will, treating them as temporary realms as he explores. He is unpredictable when encountered—he may wish to share a jest, or engage in a bout of wrestling.
Damh is on good terms with the Celtic powers of Tir na Og, particularly Cernunnos, Silvanus and Airmed. He’s been known to pursue the halfling power Sheela Peryroyl romantically, although she finds this more amusing than anything. Damh and Pan of the Greek pantheon are partners in crime, while the drinking competitions of Dionysus and Damh are legendary.
