Perun, Slavic Power of Lightning and War

Realm of Perun, the Slavic Power of Thunder and War

Location: Quasi-Elemental Plane of Lightning / Storm Castle

Perun’s realm in the Quasi-Elemental Plane of Lightning, known as Storm Castle, is a domain befitting the Slavic god of thunder. This plane, where the Elemental Plane of Air meets the Positive Energy Plane, is characterised by black clouds, omnipresent static, St. Elmo’s fire, and abundant thunder and lightning. In this vibrant and electric landscape, the Storm Castle, build from blue-tinged iron, draws in continuous bolts of lightning, which play across its pointed steeples and metallic walls. The pungent smell of ozone burns the nose, and the static energy will make your hair rise into spikes by itself.

The realm is filled creatures like blue dragons, lightning mephits, and volts. The Storm Castle itself floats in a small sea of statically-charged water near the far border with Positive Energy, buffeted by the storms so it’s never quite in the same place twice. Inside its walls, factions of lightning quasi-elementals squabble for the favour of Perun, and vie for dominance. The politics here, like the air, are highly charged.
