Xig-Quant is a mercurial black orb with an aura of golden fire that changes intensity over time, waxing and waning. Sometimes it radiates ice-cold violet light, sometimes it crackles with electricity, and sometimes it radiates intense heat. Its power also grows and fades in a cycle—one moment it is extremely powerful, the next relatively fragile. Combatting Xig-Quant successfully takes careful observation, planning, and good timing.
This energon embodies the cyclical state of dark energy. Sages reckon it has been in this oscillating state between high and low energies since it was first dreamed into existence, and it may be the only force keeping the other two known xig-yao in check.
