Zebra Lord
Seyhrain Inctibus. Planar animal lord [she/her] N
Realm: Beastlands / Krigala / Zebra Lord’s Dazzle

Once upon a time, Zebra used to be a pure white horse, with a coat that positively glowed in the string Krigalan sun. In those days water was even more scarce than it is now, and the best watering hole was guarded by the Ape Lord, who would not allow any of the other animals to quench their thirst.
The Zebra Lord was not afraid of this simian bully, and challenged Baboon to a fight. The Ape Lord attacked Zebra and the two fought for a long time, neither getting the upper hand. And then Baboon played a dirty trick on Zebra, pushing her into his campfire!
This badly burnt Zebra but rather than making her surrender, it just made her angrier. Leaping from the flames, she gave Baboon such a kick that he flew right across the watering hole—and he ran away.
The burn marks on Zebra’s hide never came out, and that is why to this day zebras have stripes. And the swelling on baboon’s backside never went down, and that is why baboons are the way they are.

In her human form, the Zebra Lord has a striking look. Her skin is alabaster white, save for the black eye make-up she liberally applies. Her hair is a mohawk of black and white, and her clothing is a monochrome patchwork, all th better to blend in with her herd. Zebra’s personality is similarly stark—she judges things in terms of whether or not they are helpful to zebrakind. If something is not helpful, then it is by definition harmful.
She’s a free-spirited, strong-willed leader who values individuality within the herd—chant goes that every one of her wards has a different coat pattern, and she knows every single one of them by heart. She’s courageous, and will defend her herd from threats. She’s also freedom-loving, and her realm, called the Zebra Lord’s Dazzle by planewalkers, moves with her across the plains. The largest of these movements is a planar phenomenon called the Herd, where the sheer number of beasts migrating creates a transient planar pathway between Krigala and Arborea.
