Black Walls
Location: Outlands / Ringlands / near Ribcage
Black Walls, a burg so close to Baator, it’s practically kissin’ it. From the outside, it’s as welcomin’ as a barbed devil at a tea party. Its towering black walls, spiked like the Lady’s shadow, scream “pike off!” louder than a howler in the dead-book. But, if you’ve got the spawning stones to venture inside, that’s where the tale gets interesting.
Governed by Lord Vesherek (planar human fighter [he/him] / LE), a cutter who seems to believe he’s already a baatezu, this military city’s always geared up for a dust-up. His Council, a motley crew of hardheads and bashers, keeps the burg in a stranglehold as tight as a mind flayer’s embrace. It’s a place where the buildings are more like barracks than homes, and the main drag’s a show of might, with the Keep standin’ tall like a king on his throne.
But here’s the twist, berk. Black Walls, as bleak as it looks, may yet play a key part in the Blood War. Vesherek has been preppin’ his army to go toe-to-toe with the tanar’ri. And while the baatezu might be givin’ him the laugh, the tanar’ri are takin’ a peep, and they ain’t laughin’.
Enter Mistress Sailes, a “merchant” from the Cage with a bone to pick with Vesherek. She’s been shadowing his moves like a Fated berk chases dropped coins. Discovering Vesherek’s army-building antics, she’s cookin’ up a scheme with her Abyssal contacts that could turn Black Walls into a real battleground. And you’d better bet that it involves a great big pile o’ tanar’ri…
Black Walls will soon see how strong their defences really are.
