Whale Lord

Realm: Beastlands / Threefold Ocean / Whalegrounds
The Whale Lord is a benevolent guardian of the Threefold Ocean, a friend to both sea beast and traveller. Even humanoids are welcomed in his realm, the Whalegrounds, which spans the ocean in Krigala and Brux.
Whale is the patron of all kinds of cetacean, from the colossal blue baleen to the aggressive orca. He’s also a protector of dolphins and swordfish, and the largely unknown ziphiidae. But the strangest of his wards are the elsewhales, colossal interplanar beasts which swim across all of the oceans of the Upper Planes and the prime, using the planar pathway called the Seventh Sea. These bizarre creatures are docile and intelligent enough to be trained by mairne eladrin, who have taught them to catch bubbles of air in their mouths and then allow humanoids to ride inside their maws as passengers.
While this trick is peculiar to the elsewhales, the more typical whale of the Threefold Ocean are still friendly bashers. They’re known to save drowning planewalkers, guide travellers to new lands, and act as guardians or messengers.
When the whale lord adopts his human form, he’s a portly gentleman with a flowing wizard’s robe, pale blue-grey skin and small eyes, which are wrinkled but kind. He’s bald apart from a shock of blue hair which cascades from the top of his head, like the water from a blowhole.
Whale gets along well with the Octopus Lord, seeking her aid whenever any of his wards becomes ill or beaches. In return, he sings for her—plaintiff keening songs of distant lands and long-forgotten peoples.
