Pleroma Aeon
Who control the balance of multiversal creation and destruction.
LN; CR 20 [PF1e], Creature 20 [PF2e]

Pleromas are the most powerful aeons, and their ever-shifting forms embody the duality of creation and destruction. These towering, vaguely humanoid beings are cloaked in shadowy veils which resemble the night sky, with swirling galaxies of stars and nebulae constantly forming and dissipating within their folds. They are able to manifest two devastating orbs of power: A white Sphere of Creation that generates new matter and a black Sphere of Oblivion that annihilates all it touches. Pleromas view creation and destruction not as opposites but as interconnected parts of a cosmic cycle that must remain in balance to prevent stagnation or apocalypse. They act as agents of the Monad, the sentience of the multiverse, ensuring that this eternal cycle continues harmoniously.
Philosophically, pleromas see eternity as cyclical and malleable, requiring constant change to avoid imbalance. They believe that for every act of creation, there must be destruction to maintain equilibrium, and they intervene when this balance is threatened. Their actions are apparently guided by the Will of the Monad, though they seem to act independently within its grand design. Pleromas avoid mortal concerns like ethics or politics unless such matters directly impact the cosmic balance. The arrival of a pleroma aeon in a region always signals dramatic change—whether through creation, destruction, or both. Pleroma are monotropic in that they remain entirely focused on their tasks, ignoring most other concerns.
The pleromas wield potentially devastating dual abilities. Their Sphere of Creation leaves trails of new matter or terrain while absorbing creatures and objects into its substance unless they resist with powerful magic like wish. Conversely, their Sphere of Oblivion acts as a void that destroys anything it contacts, including massive structures or living beings. Both spheres can be propelled to target specific areas or enemies, dealing catastrophic damage. Exactly what these spheres are is a matter of some debate amongst graybeards; perhaps they are powerful magical items, or more likely some kind of gates to the Positive and Negative Material Planes which the pleroma are able to manipulate at will.
Additionally, a mere touch by their hands delivers overwhelming void or vitality damage based on what would harm their target most. Also powerful spellcasters, pleromas have access to an array of divine spells, granted to them by the Monad.
For planewalkers encountering a pleroma, avoidance is always the wisest strategy. These aeons are utterly indifferent to mortal lives and will retaliate with overwhelming force against anyone who interferes with their work. If engagement is unavoidable, planewalkers should prepare powerful defensive magic to resist effects like the spheres’ devastation or blinding explosions. Spells such as freedom or miracle may save those absorbed by a Sphere of Creation, but few options exist for reversing destruction caused by a Sphere of Oblivion. Diplomacy is nearly impossible due to their alien mindset, but demonstrating alignment with their goals—or at least avoiding disruption—may prevent conflict.
In the Monad’s grand design of the multiverse, pleromas serve as ultimate arbiters of balance between creation and destruction, ensuring that nothing becomes too permanent or stagnant. For adventurers crossing paths with these beings, challenging them risks annihilation at the hands of forces beyond mortal comprehension.
