Duke Lucan

Duke Lucan (planar lupinal guardinal companion [he/him] / NG)
Portfolio: Vigilance, patience, persistence
Realm: Elysium / Eronia / The Howling Vale
Duke Lucan is a subtle figure of few words, but when he speaks, cutters shut up, sit back down and listen. Where Kharash is a relentless hunter of evil, Lucan is a guardian of harmony, seeking to protect the good lives folk lead in Elysium from disruption. His sleek, silver-gray fur and calm green eyes reflect his composed nature, and he walks upright with an air of dignity. Lucan’s philosophy of goodness emphasises stewardship over destruction; he believes that evil must be contained and neutralised without causing unnecessary bloodshed whenever possible. Lucan is a master of mediation and strategy, often resolving conflicts through careful negotiation or subtle intervention before they escalate into violence.
Lucan’s role since retiring from the Five Companions of Talisid has become that of a mentor to younger lupinals, teaching them patience and restraint to balance their natural ferocity. He’s also deeply connected to the spiritual aspects of the wilderness, often leading rituals to honour the cycles of nature and ensure that Elysium’s wild places remain unspoiled. Though he avoids combat when possible, Lucan’s abilities are formidable; his resonant howl inspires courage in allies, and his keen senses allow him to detect distant trouble stirring in Elysium, sniffing out the scent of evil on the air from leagues away.
