Swan Lord
Seyhrain Noctos. Planar animal lord [she/her] N
Realm: Beastlands / Karasuthra / Swan Lake

Keeping mostly to her lakes in the night-time of Karasuthra, the Swan Lord is a beautiful creature the reminds all that true beauty stems from within. Most primes have heard the story of the Ugly Duckling, in which a plain duck transforms into a beautiful swan, showing cutters that there’s hope for every berk to find beauty—so long as they don’t live in Sigil…
The Swan Lord is kind to most cutters, but she’s a vain and fickle creature, despite her open-mindedness towards the nature of beauty. In her human form, she appears as a beautiful swanmay, although she does not need to wear a signet ring to allow her to transform. Her lake in Karasuthra is overseen by hundreds of swans, and few swanmay make their homes within her lake as well amongst her wards, paying homage to the being that they too see as their patron.
Cutters looking to get information from Swan Lake had best look elsewhere though; the Swan Lord exists only for the here and now, with anything else a mere afterthought. Like most of the bird lords, her domain was affected little by the ulraehn. Enmity still exists to this day between the Bird Lords and the Ground-Dwelling Lords regarding the entire incident, one that’s spear-headed by the Swan Lord on one side and the Cat Lord on the other. Cat accuses the Bird Lords of abandoning their brethren to the wolves of the ulraehn—which to an extent is true—the Bird Lords remained mostly neutral in the conflict. Of course, they too feared the ulraehn and wished him dead, but it wasn’t their problem: the wolves of the ulraehn could not reach the air, and so the birds of the Beastlands saw themselves safe from the evil. Or so they thought; amidst the conflict sown by the ulraehn, Cat saw the lazy vultures swarming overhead, making meals out of his servants as they had been left to die by the cruel Wolf Lord. Cat saw the Bird Lords untouched, and unwilling to do anything to save their seyhrain brothers and sisters. This was accentuated by the Swan Lord accidentally revealing the location of a secret conference of the Animal Lords of the ground to the ulraehn, shortly before the death of the first Wolf Lord. Since they were remaining neutral, the Cat Lord realized that the Bird Lords would be perfectly happy to let their ground-bound brethren die in the jaws of wolves.
Relations between Ground and Avian Lords have never been particularly friendly since then, especially since the seyhrain that represent each side are the two most vain creatures on the Beastlands. While it’s not an open conflict, the Bird Lords (and in this case the Bat Lord) tend to stick to the company of each other and the seyhrain of the ground tend to stick with each other as well.
There’s a rift still forming from the creation of the first Wolf Lord more than three thousand years ago, and it’s beginning to widen even more because of the actions of the Cat Lord in regard to the power Bast. The already-aloof Vulture Lord and her wards have recently refused to speak to the Animals of the Ground. This can only spell more trouble ahead for the Beastlands…
