Chavod

The Broken Spear (planar cetaceal guardinal companion [he/him] / NG)
Portfolio: Self-sacrifice, resilience, redemption
Realm: Elysium / Thalasia / The Abyssal Forge
Chavod, the cetaceal guardinal paragon known as the Broken Spear, is a blood who embodies the ideal of self-sacrifice. With his orca-like humanoid form, silver-black skin, and eyes filled with the wisdom of the seas, Chavod is a defender of the deep blue waters of Thalasia. His nickname refers to a legend in which he shattered his cherished magical spear lifting a mighty boulder in order to save innocents. Chavod’s philosophy centres on selfless guardianship, resilience under pressure, and the belief that even the most damaged tools or beings can serve a noble purpose. Chavod’s blend of strength, compassion, and humility makes him a symbol of hope for those who feel lost or broken themselves.
He’s a tireless defender of aquatic realms, particularly against aboleths, and the likes of Dagon or Sekolah. Tales of his adventures have crossed planar boundaries and inspire both marine celestials and mortal sailors on the Prime to stand firm in the face of darkness. Chavod’s workshop is called the Abyssal Forge, and is located deep beneath Thalasia’s waves. It serves as a sanctuary for broken artefacts and wounded souls alike, where octopus artisans weave magic with their talented tentacles to restore both to wholeness. He has called his realm ‘abyssal’ not to evoke evil, but to reflect the depth of the place where shattered things are reforged into something even stronger than it was before—although you never guess, with his unexpectedly dry sense of humour.
