Field of Black Earth
Realm of Mokosh
Location: Bytopia / Dothion / The Red Spire
On the Dothion side of the Red Spire is a wide village with simple buildings of wood and clay. It is surrounded on all sides by fields and pastures, which are always full of workers keeping them weeded and well-ploughed, as is the way in Bytopia. Most bashers here are farmers, tilling the fertile soil which kept perpetually moist and full of nutrients by Mokosh, and raising crops which can rival the quality of those from Arborea. The Field is the most famous for its flax and hemp, and the high-quality textiles which can be made from them. As in the realm of Svarog, clothing produced here may be imbued with some subtle magic. The Field of Black Earth is governed by the council of all its villagers. It has no regular militia, but despite this there have never been any recorded attacks on the realm—which further confirms the hidden subtle power of Mother Mokosh.
