The Trials of the Fated
I applied to join the Fated and the Factol asked of me:
- A vrock in a viper tree!
On the second day of testing and the Factol asked of me:
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
On the third day of trying and the Factol asked of me:
- Three dead gods,
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
On the fourth day of asking Darkwood required of me:
- Four mephit servants,
- Three dead gods,
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
On the fifth day of trying the Factol asked of me:
- Five silver rilmani!
- Four mephit servants,
- Three dead gods,
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
On the sixth day of asking, the Factol he asked me:
- Six slaadi swimming,
- Five silver rilmani!
- Four mephit servants,
- Three dead gods,
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
On the seventh sodding day the Factol asked of me:
- Seven portal keys,
- Six slaadi swimming,
- Five silver rilmani!
- Four mephit servants,
- Three dead gods,
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
On the eighth day of tithing Old Darkwood asked of me:
- Eight deva dancing,
- Seven portal keys,
- Six slaadi swimming,
- Five silver rilmani!
- Four mephit servants,
- Three dead gods,
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
On the ninth day of asking they required from me:
- Nine devils sinning,
- Eight deva dancing,
- Seven portal keys,
- Six slaadi swimming,
- Five silver rilmani!
- Four mephit servants,
- Three dead gods,
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
Ten days of frustration, then they asked of me:
- Ten modrons marching
- Nine devils sinning,
- Eight deva dancing,
- Seven portal keys,
- Six slaadi swimming,
- Five silver rilmani!
- Four mephit servants,
- Three dead gods,
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
Eleven days of trying then they upped the stakes for me:
- Eleven loth a-scheming
- Ten modrons marching
- Nine devils sinning,
- Eight deva dancing,
- Seven portal keys,
- Six slaadi swimming,
- Five silver rilmani!
- Four mephit servants,
- Three dead gods,
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
On the twelfth day of testing, the Fated asked of me:
- Twelve factols squabbling
- Eleven loth a-scheming
- Ten modrons marching
- Nine devils sinning,
- Eight deva dancing,
- Seven portal keys,
- Six slaadi swimming,
- Five silver rilmani!
- Four mephit servants,
- Three dead gods,
- Two fiendish pacts,
- And a vrock in a viper tree!
